Special Education Needs and Disabilities

At Windhill21, we are committed to giving all children equal access to the curriculum.  In order to do this we aim to identify early those children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice.

We put in place appropriate provision to ensure the needs of pupils with SEND are met through individual programmes of work and supported throughout to ensure that they make the expected progress. Please see our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities policy and Windhill21's SEND Information Report document for more detailed information.

Our Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is Mrs H Mann, and she can be contacted using the following email address:  senco@windhill.herts.sch.uk.

In addition, as part of the SEN reforms, Hertfordshire County Council has to provide access to information of what is on offer across the county.  The purpose of the local offer is to provide clear, comprehensive and accessible information about the support and opportunities that are available for all children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 and their families (not just those who have an education, health and care plan).  Please follow the links below for further information on Hertfordshire's Offer:
