Windhill Academy Trust is a single academy trust and as such is a charitable company limited by guarantee. 

The Trust’s Governing Board has three core functions:

  • Planning the strategic direction of the school
  • Overseeing financial performance of the school and ensuring money is well spent
  • Holding the headteacher and school leadership to account

The governor/trustee role is strategic rather than operational, supporting and challenging the school’s leadership team to drive school improvement.
