Our “11 Before 11” pledge has been carefully designed as a promise to every child – a commitment that all pupils will experience a rich range of opportunities before they leave us at the end of Year 6.

This pledge includes 11 meaningful and memorable experiences before the age of 11. These opportunities are designed to broaden horizons, build cultural capital, and develop the character, confidence and oracy skills our pupils need to succeed in life.

From visiting London, learning to swim, and performing on a stage, to raising money for charity, speaking in front of an audience, and taking part in global projects – each experience supports pupils to grow academically, socially and personally.

Alongside our wide range of wider curriculum opportunities, the Windhill21 “11 Before 11” pledge ensures that every child leaves our school with a strong sense of achievement, belonging and aspiration. It reflects our belief that education should be truly transformative – nurturing curious, resilient and respectful young people who are ready for the next stage of their journey.
