Nursery Admissions - Current Year
Our current Nursery year group is for those children born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022.
We offer morning, afternoon or all-day sessions as follows:
- Morning – 8:30am until 11:30am (15 hours per week)
- Afternoon – 12:30pm until 3:30pm (15 hours per week)
- All day – 8:30am to 3:30pm (35 hours per week)
All children are expected to attend a minimum of 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions per week. This is covered by the universal 15 hours of free Nursery funding, which all children are entitled to.
In addition, Windhill21 offer a flexible approach which enables parents to apply for a limited number of all-day places. The first 15 hours of the all-day sessions are covered by the universal 15-hour Nursery funding. Any additional hours are either covered by childcare support funding (for working parents only) or charged at a cost of £6 per hour.
Parents will be invoiced, in advance, at the beginning of each term for any paid sessions, and (whether applicable) for any additional hours not covered by childcare support funding. Payment must be made at the start of each term. No refunds will be made for sessions when your child is absent (for whatever reason).

Allocation of a Nursery place is subject to the applicant’s guarantee that the first 15 hours of Free Childcare Funding will be directed to this school. This guarantee must be confirmed on the Parent Declaration Form. Full details of the admission policy can be found below.
In the event of more applications than available places the Governing Body will maintain a continuing interest list (waiting list). Late applications will also be added to this list. If a place becomes available in the school, it will be offered to the child that best meets the published admission rules.
